Another embed test

Datawrapper and small headshots and author bios. And yes, they work on all three platforms!

Another embed test

Datawrapper is great on web, but a bit of a problem on social web and email. The card below 'just works' in all the places.

Pretty nice unlock, and now Datawrapper works everywhere.

Reading today, waiting for my code to deploy, and I saw this layout over at the New York Times - kind of a neat way to do headshots, which lets you have a smaller headshot without actually needing to wrap text around it. So I built a widget that lets you pick an image from your Ghost image library, and spits out the code for it. [You DO have an image library for Ghost, don't you?]

This concludes today's fussing with and/or showing off of email-friendly embeds and cards. Find more at:

Email-Friendly Embeds — Spotify, Instagram, Bluesky, Datawrapper and writer headshots that still work in email | SWS Tools
Paste a Spotify, Instagram, Bluesky or Datawrapper link and get two cards for the Ghost editor: the real embed for your site, and a card that works in email, where embeds never load. Or make a writer headshot card from your Ghost staff list.

Oh ok, so that's almost everything. I also have an author card, for the folks who like to do a little author personalization in their email-only sign-offs. And here it is:

I probably wouldn't show it on web, since most themes already show the author's details, if wanted, but for social web and email? You betcha.
