Introducing Calendar Caddie

Want to get started with Calendar Caddie? Head on over to https://tools.spectralwebservices.com .

Calendar Caddie is a community events calendar that you can embed on your website. Once you set up your sources (more on that in the next article), it self-updates nightly. The goal is a feed that updates itself – while you can take community submissions or add events yourself, the idea here is that you'll invest time finding calendar sources to start, and then the events will flow in without much intervention on your part.

A community calendar can be useful in several ways. You might view it as a community resource and a traffic driver that brings more visitors to your site. You might run ads on the page alongside it. You might charge event producers for featuring their events, or for submitting some types of events. Or it could be a subscribers-only feature. If you send a weekly newsletter, you may also find it to be a good resource for you, as you assemble that newsletter. (A direct pipeline to the newsletter digest builder is coming soon.)

There's some flexibility here, and I'm interested to hear how you use it, and where it isn't yet meeting your needs.

Actual documentation for how to use it to follow!
